Sometimes, I just aim the camera and take a picture. Sometimes, the picture is great. Sometimes, it’s trash. This is one of those times.
This is a picture aimed towards where Sagittarius hits the horizon, but the light pollution was pretty high. Believe it or not, I took ten of these pictures hoping to stack them, but this is the only one that came out at all decent. And it’s not decent at all.
The sad part is, I have no idea what was in this picture. Mostly, it’s just a pretty (?) picture of the sky at night. It was the second set taken with the new camera. At least, if you compare it to yesterday’s image of Altair, you can see why stacking makes the images better. This image has a ton of noise in it while the Altair image has very little.
